child deserves wings. Children born with disabilities or developmental
differences need special care to spread their wings and reach their
potential. Success is found when a child receives early treatment and a
family is able to provide a loving and supportive environment for their
child to grow, be accepted, and become a valued member of our community.
This year in the Dallas Metroplex:
- 1 in 20 children will be born with a special need
- 1 in 150 children will be diagnosed with autism
- 85,000 children will need services to help them develop and
thrive
- 6,000-7,000 of these children will be diagnosed with autism
