Family Education and Support
Children make the greatest strides when parents become the best teachers in their lives.
The Family Education and Support (FES) program provides a “listening ear” for any family with a child who has a special need. No matter where you are located, you can access this program is at no cost to you.
- Professional led support groups at both the Richardson and Garland centers*
- Parent-to-parent support sessions*
- Educational workshops*
- 1,200 volume library of developmental journals and books
- Referrals & connections to programs that fit a family’s needs and location
*Childcare is provided at no charge.

The Warren Center offers a parent-to-parent support group at both the Richardson and Garland locations. Families are able to connect with one another about their own struggles, hopes and dreams for their children with developmental differences or disabilities. Licensed therapists are available to answer questions and to help guide healthy discussions.
Richardson- 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month from 6pm to 7:30pm.
Garland- 1st Wednesday of each month from 9am to 10:30am.
FREE childcare is available. Please RSVP at least two days prior to the group you wish to attend.

Child Care Training:
Certificates for training hours are $5 per person, per 2 hours.
